Foul meddamas - my mum's way
Mix 2 parts faba beans with 1 part medium chickpeas. Soak in water for at least half a day, changing the water a few times. To cook, two options: 1. pressure cooker for about 45-60 minutes; or 2. boil uncovered for about 3 hours. Once the beans & chickpeas are tender, place into a large bowl & mix with lots of garlic, lemon juice & sea salt to taste. To serve, drizzle with extra virgin olive oil & eat with sides of chopped parsley & tomatoes, olives & spring onions
